Research in Engineering Analysis

This is part of a course in the UT Austin-NTUT joint EMBA program (discontinued). The following are the highlights of this part of the course: 1) History of scientific thinking, 2) How modern scientists share knowledge (citation formats and paper searching techniques), 2) Deductive vs. inductive reasoning, 3) Boardgames demonstrating deductive and inductive processes, 4) Application of deductive and inductive processes (the case of Deepwater Horizon), and 5) How research is applied in water resources engineering.
